Anna Frisbie Obituary

Anna [Topping] Frisbie passed away on July 7, 2018 at the age of 93. She was born in 1924 in Ridgewood, New Jersey, the longest survivor of six children born to Jennie (Brown) Topping of New Jersey, and her husband Samuel James Topping, who was born in Ireland and is officially registered on the Ellis Island American Immigrant Wall of Honor. Known for her distinctive carrot top red hair, she attended and graduated from Ridgewood High School, and also attended Fairleigh Dickenson College in Teaneck, New Jersey. She married Edward Charles Frisbie Sr., in 1949, and was widowed when he died in 2012. She resided in Oakland, New Jersey with him starting in 1955, and remained in her Oakland home until 2014. Beside her other jobs, Anna was a school bus driver for many years for both the towns of Oakland and Mahwah, in northern New Jersey. Anna raised 3 children, two sons Edward Charles Frisbie Jr. [Chuck], and Ronald William Frisbie, both of whom passed away in 1983, and one surviving daughter Kathleen Frisbie, of Massachusetts. She is also survived by a grand-daughter Heather, 4 great grand-children, many nieces and nephews, and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She is The Last of the Hooligan Toppings: Albert, John, Robert, Jane, Anna, and Ernest. A memorial service will be held, to be announced at a later date.
