Charles McGrath Obituary

Mr. Charles McGrath, of Raynham, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 6 in Morton Hospital. He was the husband of Paula M. (Sabusky) McGrath. He was born 72 years ago in Dorchester, the son of the late Daniel and Mary (McConvey) McGrath. He was educated in Dorchester, had formerly resided in Stoughton and had been a Raynham resident for the past 30 years. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a truck driver for Bardon-Trimount Corp. in Taunton for 10 years. He had previously been employed by Zayres Department Stores in Stoughton for a number of years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Mr. McGrath was a member and Past President of the Raynham Lions Club, where he received the Melvin Jones Award, and was also a mem- ber of the Chester A. Bearse Post 405 American Legion of Raynham. He was also a member of the Teamsters Local in Brockton, He enjoyed camping and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. In addition to his wife, he leaves: 3 sons: Paul McGrath of Athol Kevin McGrath of Maine Timothy McGrath of Maine 2 daughters: Peggy Auvil of Maine Theresa Derepentiguy of Maine 1 sister: Sr. Katherine, S.C. of Peru 6 grandchildren 1 great grandson several nieces and nephews Mr. McGrath was also the grandfather of the late Steven Auvil of Maine, and the brother of the late John, Daniel, William, James and Robert McGrath. A Visitation will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Wednesday, July 9, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will follow the Visitation at 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Raynham Lions Club, 2234 King Philip St., Raynham, Ma., 02767, or the the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingingham, Ma., 01701-4688.
