Charles E. Combs (Chuck) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Chuck has been a resident of Lakeville, Massachusetts for the last 15 years. He was born on August 15, 1961 and grew up in Berkley, Massachusetts. He was a graduate of Dighton-Rehoboth High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from the New England Institute of Technology as an Engineer.
Chuck was the son of the late Kenneth and Patricia Combs. He is survived by his loving wife, Jodi Combs and their 11-year old twins, Addison and Luke, as well as his 3 brothers and their spouses: Michael and Deb Combs, of Berkley, Chris Combs and Carolyn Sovet, of Rehoboth and Matt Combs and Grace Lopes of Berkley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Scott and Dan Combs, Dani, Eddie and Kyle Jameson and Adam and Andrew Bernstein.
Chuck worked at Haemonetics Corporation in Braintree for the last 32 years, holding many significant roles. His most recent role was as a National Account Manager for the last several years. He was honored as the top Account Manager for North America 6 times and was awarded President’s Club trips to Costa Rica, Costa del Sol Spain, Cannes France, Italian Riviera, Hawaii and London England.
Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his children play basketball, football and soccer, traveling, skiing, scuba diving and fishing. He was a die-hard Celtics and Patriots fan and loved a good IPA! He was soft-spoken but had a kind heart and very sarcastic sense of humor. He was an amazing man who fought his illness with grace, strength and courage. He was loved so much and will be forever missed.
His family will be hosting a service at Christ Community Church - 41 Stevens Street, East Taunton, Massachusetts on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10:00am and a Celebration of Life to follow at Segregansett Country Club – 85 Gulliver Street, Taunton, Massachusetts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a college scholarship fund for Addison and Luke in memory of Chuck through Go Fund Me or to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
