Claire Nadeau Obituary

Mrs. Claire (LaBelle) Nadeau, of Taunton, died Tuesday, May 13 in the Kimwell Nursing Home, Fall River, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Omer Nadeau. She was born 87 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dominic LaBelle. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a kitchen worker at the Wedgemere Convalescent Home for several years, and had previously been employed as an assembler for Raytheon Corp. in North Dighton for 15 years. Mrs. Nadeau enjoyed watching QVC, was a New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan, and especially loved the family pet, Daisy. She was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Church. She leaves: 1 son: Arnold Nadeau and his wife, Nancy, of Fall River 1 daughter-in-law: Jacquelyn Nadeau of Taunton 8 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren several nieces and nephews Mrs. Nadeau was also the mother of the late Alphonse E. Nadeau of Taunton. Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Saturday, May 17 at 8:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church, 249 Whittenton Street, at 9:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
