Edna Lyon Obituary

Mrs. Edna A. (Gray) Lyon, of Norton, died February 8 at her daughters residence following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Oswald E. Lyon. She was born 83 years ago in Scotland, the daughter of the late Thomas Gray and Catherine (Lowe) Gray-Roberge. She had been a United States resident for most of her life. Mrs Lyon enjoyed ballroom dancing, knitting and needlework, travelling, was a master bridge player and had many friends worldwide. She leaves: 2 sons: Roy A. Lyon, and his wife, Noella, of San Diego, Calif. Dale M. Lyon, and his wife, Annette of Lakeforest, Calif. 1 daughter: Kathryn M. Danforth, and her husband, Paul, of Norton 1 brother: T. McKenzie Gray of Cape Cod 5 grandchildren: Hana-Rose Dufresne and Jenna Dufresne both of Rehoboth, Mairead Pratt, Haleigh Danforth and Shaelyn Danforth all of Norton many nieces and nephews Mrs. Lyon was also the sister of the late Herbert Gray of Scotland. A celebration of her life will be held at the Florence Hayward Sweet House, Peck Street, Attleboro, on Friday, May 16 at 6:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to either Community V.N.A. Hospice, 10 Emory St., Attleboro, Ma., 02703, or to the San Diego Hospice and Pallia- tive Care, 4311 Third Ave., San Diego, Calif., 92103-1407.
