Mr. Joseph B. Dugas, age 80 of Norton, passed away on Wednesday, May 22nd 2019 at Sturdy
Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Joseph was born in Boston on June 2, 1938 to the late Peter and Margaret (Woolhouse) Dugas.
He was a graduate of the Cathedral High School class of 1956 and attended Maryglade College and
Seminary of Michigan. He graduated from Bentley College evening school, where he received his
Bachelors in Accounting. He was a long-term treasurer of the Cathedral High School Alumni
Association. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an accountant for various companies in The
Greater Boston area and was also self-employed as an income tax accountant for many years.
Joseph was the brother of Pat Coll of North Carolina, Joan of Wrentham, Peter of Taunton and the
late Mary Willis of Pembroke. He leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He
also leaves the loving staff and residents of the Pleasant Street Rest Home, Attleboro, who cared for
him in his final months of life.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1 2019, at the St Jude the Apostle
Parish, 249 Whittenton St., Taunton, Mass. Joseph will be buried privately at Stevens Corner
Cemetery, Rehoboth, Mass.
