Paula Murphy Obituary
Paula was born December 14, 1947 in Boston, MA to Roy and Catherine Cochrane. While attending Sacred Heart High School in Weymouth, MA she met her lifelong friend Candy (DiMattio) Karwowski. After graduating from high school, Paula worked at Boston Gear Works and later went on to meet the love of her life.
On June 14, 1969 she married Daniel Murphy. Their new life would include starting a family while moving around for military service. They lived in many places such as the Carolinas, Virginia, Hawaii, and Arizona where she met other lifelong friends including Christine Rasmussen.
After settling in Whitman, Paula worked in retail at Zayres, Ames, Marshalls, and Kohls. Before dedicating all her energy to crafting, which included but didnt stop at knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed being social with her friends and family, and of course music. Paulas love for music mostly centered around Elvis but her love of music led her to see The Beatles in concert in the fall of 1964. Besides crafting she also enjoyed any beach with a wave.
In the months before her passing, her husband and family celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Where they enjoyed their time together at the beach as a family.
Paula is preceded in death by her son Peter, and her brother Roy Cochrane.
Paula is survived by her husband Daniel, sons Timothy and wife Jennifer, Daniel and wife Shelley, Roy and companion Christine Sylvester, and daughter Catherine and companion James Kiernan. Also leaving being her siblings Francis Karas and husband Eddie, Catherine Ditocco and husband Paul and Peter and Nancy Cochrane. Loving grandmother to Jessica, Allyson, Victoria, Daniel, Timothy, Nicholas and Peter.
