Mr. Raymond J. Levesque, Sr., of Taunton died Saturday, June 21 in the Goddard Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Stoughton, following a period of failing health. He was the husband of Eileen M. (Cinq-Mars) Levesque. He was born 76 years ago in Taun- ton, the son of the late Honore and Alice (Baril) Levesque. He was educated in Taun- ton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a cook at the former Gondola Restaurant in Taunton for 40 years. He had previously been employed at the former Fernandes Supermarket in Raynham for 18 years. Mr. Levesque had also been employed at both the former Hickeys Diner on Taunton Green and the former Whittenton Spa for a number of years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, having served with the 32nd Infantry Regiment, and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars. He was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Taunton. In addition to his wife, he leaves: 3 sons: Raymond J. Levesque, Jr., and his wife Pam, of Taunton David Levesque, and his wife Julie, of Clam Gulch, Alaska John Levesque, and his wife Donna, of Taunton 2 daughters: Lori Andrade, and her husband Daniel, of Raynham Maureen of Taunton 2 brothers: Adrian Pete Levesque of Taunton Richard Levesque of Cape Cod 5 sisters: Rita Hickey of Taunton Josephine Henriques of Taunton Rochelle Rocha of Taunton Theresa Moquin of Berkley Lorraine Tondreault of Florida 14 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren several nieces and nephews Mr. Levesque was also the father of the late Randi C. Levesque, and the brother of the late Robert Chink Levesque, Roger Levesque and Helen Bagge all of Taunton. Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street on Thursday, June 26 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
