Sarah A Nehmy

An angel has left this earth on 7/28/2019: Sarah Nehmy, 68 years of age from Providence, RI, went home to be with the Lord after battling a long illness. She was one of four daughters of the late Peter and Marie Nehmy. Sarah was preceded in death by her soul mate partner John Albury (the love of her life) and preceded by her sweet sister Phyllis Clinton. Sarah is survived by sisters Jeanette Bascom (David) of Port Charlotte FL and Charlotte Andrews (Robert) of North Providence, RI. Sarah leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that affectionately referred to her as AUNTIE.

Sarah had MANY friends from her young years of growing up in RI. In her twenties she relocated to Florida for an adventure and change of scenery. She met the love of her life, John Albury, on the island of Key West. She also made lifelong friendships and has numerous friends in both states. Sarah was a wonderful daughter, sister, life mate, friend and Auntie. She was fun, friendly, generous and fearless. She and John owned a business where he did landscape and she cleaned homes in upscale areas of Daytona Beach and Port Orange. Sarah had a gift of hospitality and enjoyed having family and friends visit her and John. Although she loved people, she especially loved her K-9 children. After Johns passing, Sarah moved back to RI where she lived her remaining years. Although she knew she was facing death, she had no fear. Sarahs niece Adeah Cardoso and her children, her great niece Halie, and great nephew Jason Jr. share that they will miss their Aunties positive attitude, strong will and wisdom. Others shared about how she loved pretty things and burning incense. Her dear friend Bonnie Iverson will miss their long talks, and the fragrance of Sarahs Petrella oils. There are so many great memories from friends and family. Even the QVC shopping network will miss her late-night purchases. As we reflect, isnt it nice to know that Sarah is now pain free and in Heaven with so many that she has missed and loved. We are here to celebrate her life. Like Sarah, if you accept Christ as your Savior, there is no death. Welcome home Sarah.
