Stanley Daggett Obituary

Stanley Wade Daggett of Falmouth, age 58, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday December 2, 2018 after a brief illness at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. Born on May 23, 1960, he was the son of the late Edmond Daggett and Theresa Rouillier of New Bedford and the Foster son of Carl and Janet Fonseca of Waquoit. Stanley grew up in Falmouth along with his brother Steven and his late sister Irene.

Stanley enjoyed cooking and carving Native American flutes. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed drawing and writing. While in high school he was involved with the school newspaper and would write short stories. He always had a desire to write and illustrate childrens books and in March of 2004 he had written and published a childrens book entitled, Cocos New Friend. Stanley was also a self-employed cook and caterer until the time of his illness.

In his early years he had dedicated much of his time searching for his family which had been separated from him and he was instrumental in reconnecting with his family and keeping that family dynamic alive.

Stanley was the brother of Steven Daggett of Falmouth, the late Irene Daggett of Clarksville, Tennessee, Donald Daggett of Hyannis, Alice Jodoin of Coventry, Rhode Island, Edward Dellapelle of Medford, Scott Daggett of Acushnet, Joseph Daggett of Swansea, and Christopher Daggett of New Bedford. Stanley was also the foster brother of Carl Fonseca, Jr. of Waquoit and Jodie Fonseca of Vientiane, Laos. He was also the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Stanley has left a loving legacy of family and friendship that will be missed by many but will continue to live on through the many memories that will be carried on by those he loved and by those who loved him.

A celebration of Stanleys life will be held in late spring/early summer of 2019.
