Mrs. Therese M. (Lagace) Poirier, of Taunton died unexpectedly Friday, June 27 in the Harbor Point Assisted Living Center, Centerville. She was the wife of the late Leon J. Poirier. She was born 86 years ago in Moosup, Conn., the daughter of the late Elzeard and Alma (Cote) Lagace. She was educated in Taunton, having graduated from Taunton High School and had been a city resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a credit manager for Sears Roebuck and Co. in Raynham for 20 years. Mrs. Poirier had also assisted her late son, David, in the operation of Daves Sea- food of Taunton for 30 years. She enjoyed crafts, floral arranging and spending time with her family. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church. She leaves: 1 daughter: Gail Bortolotti, and her husband Gary, of Taunton A daughter-in-law: Gail Poirier of Bridgewater Her twin sister: Carmen Dexter, and her husband Burpee, of Taunton 1 grandson: Philip Pagliuca of Taunton 2 great grandchildren: Nicholas and Ava Pagliuca both of Taunton several nieces and nephews Mrs. Poirier was also the mother of the late Philip H. Poirier of Taunton and the late David L. Poirier of Bridgewater. Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Tuesday, July 1 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
