Mr.William Donald Barris, age 73of Assonet, passed awayat Morton Hospital on Thursday October 3, 2019.He was the loving husband of Carol A. (ODonell) Barris.William was born in Brockton to John Barris and Avis (White) Campbellon August 26, 1946. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.Mr. Barriswas later employed as a counselor for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
