Collette Yolande (Emond) LeClair, 93, passed away on February 18, 2021 at Morton Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Taunton Massachusetts living in Whittenton most of her life. She was a 1945 graduate of Taunton High School. Collette was the daughter of the late Edna (Collette) Emond/Beaulieu and Louie Emond.
She was the wife of 25 years to the late Misael Felix LeClair. She was the loving mother of six children, David (Joyce), Eugene, M. Peter (Cindy), Paul (Mary) and the late Michelle (Alan) Silliker and the late Stephen (Debbie) LeClair. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her children, she is survived by her siblings Lucille (Toots) Emond (the late Lynn Agnew), Louie (Judy) Emond and Muriel (the late Almond) Westgate and many nieces and nephews.
Collette worked for the Telephone Company for many years. She also was Head Telephone Operator at Taunton State Hospital for 25 years retiring in 1988. She also worked at the family-owned A&W Root Beer Stand in Middleboro for 10 years.
Collette loved to travel, spending time at Rosepoint in Wareham and winters in Florida. She loved entertaining friends and playing cards. Her favorite past time was being with her loving family.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, February 23 from 4 to 7 PM at the Riendeau Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St., Taunton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday February 24th, at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton St., Taunton. If you plan on attending Collette's Funeral Mass on Wednesday, we will be meeting directly at St. Jude the Apostle Parish due to capacity regulations because of the pandemic.
