It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mom, Alice C. LeFort, 97, on October 16, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. The daughter of William and Maud (Jolin) Thomas, she was born in 1923 in Dedham, MA and soon after moved to Randolph – where she grew up with her three brothers (William, Octave and Lawrence), and three sisters (Mary, Vitale, Sarah Brown and Margaret Smith). Throughout all of life’s hardships, in her early years, she always maintained an incomparable love for life – living each day to the fullest. How she lived to a ripe old age, as she stated, was to “keep on running.”
Alice was a loving wife of 58 years to Raymond LeFort, who preceded her in death. She is so profoundly missed by her two daughters, Claudia LaBelle (late husband, Paul) and Janet Spector (husband Richard) and, also, her son, Brian – who all loved and cared for her. As well as four surviving grandchildren, Jeffrey LaBelle (wife Erin), Dawn Pullano (partner Alex), Steven Spector (wife Sarah), Danielle Guenther (husband Marius), and two great grandchildren, Tori McGonigle (husband Bobby) and, Zachary Pullano (wife Ileana).
There is no one so beloved, adored and cherished as Alice. Her legacy is the indelible imprint that she has left on the lives of all who knew her. Her love for life and family and the many amazing and sometimes crazy memories will live on, with all of us, forever.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Cemetery, 163 N Cary St, Brockton, MA 02302. All are welcome. For those that wish to attend, the family does request everyone wear a mask. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, MA 02780.
