Andrea Lynne Henault, age 39, passed away on Sunday February 25, 2024, at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home in New Bedford, MA. She fought a long, hard battle of 11 years to glioblastoma brain cancer. Always remaining positive and in good spirits throughout her ordeal.
Andrea will forever be known for extending her kindness and her willingness to help others. She liked all animals, dolphins being a favorite of hers. Growing up Andrea enjoyed playing volleyball, pool, and camping. Andrea was a good friend to everyone she knew. To know her was to love her. She most importantly loved being a stay-at-home mom to her three children. “They were her whole world” in her words.
Leaving behind her fiancé James M. Waterman, son’s Aiden M. Henault, Jaxson J. Waterman and daughter Eliana Blu Waterman, her father Raymond J. Henault and his companion Geri Lambert, her mother Claudine “Chicki” (Fleck) McGuire, brother Jason Fleck and step-brother Zach McGuire. Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Andrea was predeceased by her step-father of the late Michael McGuire, paternal grandparents the late Alfred J. Henault, Robert and Anne G. Horgan, maternal grandparents Merrill and Alice Fleck.
With sincere gratitude we would like to thank all the team of doctor’s, nurses and health care professionals at Mass General Hospital, Dana Farber Institute and Community Nurse and Hospice Care of New Bedford, MA for their outstanding care and compassion for Andrea. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in Andrea’s honor to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute of Boston, MA.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton from 9:00am-11:00am, with a service in the funeral home at 11:00am, followed by a burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, 475 E. Britannia St. Taunton, MA.
