Anna Moody Obituary

Anna Moody, 79, Taunton, formerly Medford, passed away on Thursday, October 31st, 2024, from respiratory failure. At only 4'10" Anna was small but so very mighty. She had the heart of a lion and personified the expression, "good things come in small packages."

Anna grew up in an era where family came first. She had to quit high school to take care of her younger siblings so her mother could work, but that did not impede her love of learning. She eventually went back to school to get her GED. She was so proud of that. As a single mother she taught her children the value of education, hard work and what it means to help others. Anna would quietly assist anyone in need, often leaving nothing for herself. She took joy in the simple things in life, a good plate of spaghetti, reading, sitting on the porch on a warm day and playing on the 'puter. Because yes, she taught herself to use the computer. She would begin each day with morning emails to many that always started with "Good morning, Sunshine." Anna's generous spirit was pure sass and scrap. She would always stand up for those who could not stand up for themselves.

Anna was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Anna leaves behind her four children, John DeLellis, Roberta DeLellis, Ken (Christine) MacArthur, Chrissie (Neil Chapman) MacArthur. Anna also leaves behind seven grandchildren Anthony (Christiana) DeLellis, Damiano Colozzi, Shaina (Kristian Guzman) Colozzi, Jared MacArthur and Evan MacArthur. Anna also leaves five great grandchildren, Demo, Gisella, Aubriana, Adalina and Juliana as well as her sister/best friend Mary Louise and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Anna's life will be held at a later date.
