Anne Waterman

Anne Waterman, age 80, of Taunton, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Born in Boston on February 16, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Alice (Lane) and Walter Robertson.

Anne was raised and educated in Boston and graduated from Monsignor Ryan Memorial High School in Dorchester. She continued her education at Bristol Community College and Eastern Nazarene College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business management. For the past 56 years, Anne was a proud resident of Taunton and an active member of the community.

Prior to her retirement, Anne served as a manager for the former New England Telephone Company. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle Parish and participated in several organizations, including the Women’s Guild, the Gaelic Society, the Whist Club, and the Red Hat Society.

A passionate traveler, Anne visited numerous countries and explored nearly every state in the United States. She deeply cherished her “Week 27 Vacations” spent with family and friends. Anne found joy in bringing loved ones together, leaving behind cherished memories for all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Anne is survived by her loving children, Sharon (Waterman) Thompson of Taunton, and Michael W. Waterman of Taunton. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia (Waterman) Carnali of Lakeville, and by Michael’s late wife, Sharon. She leaves behind her siblings: Charles Robertson and his wife Meg, Lorraine Newton and her late husband Brian, and Patricia Powers and her husband Tom. Anne was the cherished grandmother of Nick Glazier and his wife Whitney of Conway, SC, Zachary Waterman and his wife Ashley of Berkley, and Ryan Frith and his wife Meg of Lancaster, NH. She was a devoted great-grandmother to Cynthia Glazier, Lilith Glazier, Madilyn Waterman, Kayley Matteson, Kenna Frith, and Kaleb Frith.

Anne will be fondly remembered for her warmth, dedication, and contributions to her family and community.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025 from 4:00pm-7:00pm in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton MA. A Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 10:00am in the St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton St., Taunton, MA.  Burial will immediately follow in the St. Francis Cemetery on North Walker St., Taunton MA.
