Christine R. (Dutra) Eisner, age 72 of Taunton, passed away at her home with her loving family by her side on Sunday, December 29, 2024. She was born in Newport RI on December 1, 1952 to the late Anthony Dutra and Evelyn (Joubert) Pemberton. Prior to her retirement, Christine worked at Morton Hospital for over 30 years. She was known as “Miss Chris” at the Elizabeth Pole School in Taunton, where she worked as a lunch/recess assistant and made many special friends throughout the years.
Christine had many enjoyments in life, but her greatest one was spending time with her cherished family. She loved to travel, whether it was her trips to Foxwoods, visiting Cape Cod, or making special memories with her sister vacationing in Hawaii. Christine loved her Margaritas with a side of chips and salsa. She also enjoyed playing poker and spending time with her friends in her bowling league.
Christine is survived by her daughter Jennifer Smith and husband Stephen and her son John Coelho and partner Stacy. She was also the mother of her favorite fur baby, Hope. Christine was the sister of Steven Dutra and wife Deborah, Kevin Dutra and wife Diane, Thomas Pemberton and wife Karen Grossi-Pemberton, Melissa Butler and husband Guy and the late Michael Dutra and wife Debra. She was the proud grandmother of Molly Ewart, Connor Smith, Zachary Smith, Austin Coelho, Madison Coelho and was the great-grandmother of Harper Ewart. Christine also leaves behind her special friend Richard “Rick” White, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was the loving stepdaughter of the late Charles “Pep” Pemberton and was the former wife of John Coelho and David Eisner.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 1:00pm-4:00pm in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St., Taunton Ma 02780. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
