Cynthia "Cindy" Dooley Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cynthia Lee (Archambault) Dooley, who peacefully left us on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, after a brief but courageous battle with dementia. She was 62 years old. She was the beloved wife of Nicholas Dooley.

Cindy was born in Fall River, MA on July 12, 1962, to the late Therese (Moreau) and Roger Archambault. Cindy was no stranger to hard work as she proved throughout her life, starting with piece work in a warehouse and ending with her title as an Office Manager from the United States Post Office, along with all the jobs in between. She had many interests and friends. Cindy also worked hard in the gym and was a Zumba whirlwind, as her fellow class members can attest to. Always impeccably dressed, whether it be for fine dining or the pickleball courts, Cindy always had a stylish outfit for every occasion. Music and dancing gave Cindy great joy. It was not unusual to see her and some of her pickleball friends tearing up the dance floor on the deck of Cove Restaurant on a summer weekend.

Around the home, Cindy was a great cook and loved her kitchen and her double oven. She also took great pride in her home’s window boxes, which were, like Cindy, always outfitted with just the right look for the current season. You can’t talk about Cindy without mentioning her fondness for two things, coffee and the beach! She REALLY enjoyed a cup of coffee and REALLY enjoyed the beach. She would get up early, get a coffee and head to Horseneck Beach to grab her usual spot near chair 11, she would always get a season’s pass and would definitely get her money’s worth.

Cindy and Nick had just started enjoying retirement life together when Cindy was diagnosed. They spent many weekends traveling throughout New England, as well as Montreal, Quebec Canada. On longer trips they visited Europe and the Caribbean. Recently they were spending more time in Jupiter, Florida. The condo community there quickly embraced them, and they became regular members of the development’s social scene. They made quick and lasting friendships during their short time there.

In addition to her loving husband Nicholas Dooley, Cindy is survived by her daughter Stephanie King, her siblings Kenneth, Allen, David and Scott Archambault, Lori McKay and Sheri Bacon, her brother and sister-in law Joshua and Maria Dooley, sister-in law Liza Dooley and her nephews Colby, Dylan and Jacob Dooley. Along with many nieces, nephews and other extended family. Cindy was also the mother of the late Timothy King.
