Daniel James DiRienzo, age 71, of Rehoboth, MA, passed away peacefully on October, 20th, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Dan, as he was affectionately known, was born February 27th, 1954 in Norwood, Massachusetts, to the late Joseph M. & Olive B. (Jewkes) DiRienzo.
Raised in Walpole and graduated from Walpole High School in 1972. Upon graduation, he began his career in construction which later led to earth and utility work for the Central Artery/Tunnel Project in Boston. From there Dan went to work for Springfield Water & Sewer Commission where he retired as Director of Field Services.
Dan is survived by his loving wife Pamela J. (Simonds) DiRienzo of 41 years, his three children, daughters; Angela M. DiRienzo and Michelle L. (DiRienzo) Tetreault and husband Christopher, and son; Daniel J. DiRienzo, Jr., as well as his grandchildren Amelia Fay & Joseph Daniel. He is also survived by his siblings, Olive M. Chase, Ruth A. Donnelly, Thomas E. DiRienzo, Robert D. DiRienzo, Mary T. DiRienzo, William J. DiRienzo, along with their spouses and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dan is predeceased by his brother Joseph M. DiRienzo, Jr..
