Darby Lynne Freitas

On Wednesday, May 19th, 2021, Darby Lynne Freitas, loving aunt and sister, passed away at the age of 49.

Darby was born on March 25, 1972 in Taunton, MA.  She Graduated from Taunton High Class of 1990.  Darby had a passion for children and helping others which led her to work as a Nanny and a Health Care Coordinator. Later in life, she trained as a psychic medium, using her abilities to help others heal from the loss of their loved ones. Darby’s spirit has finally reunited with her father Joseph Freitas, mother Mary Freitas, and brother Jeremy Freitas whom she was able to communicate with after their passing.

Darby was a special soul that touched the lives of many. She was the most loyal, compassionate person you could meet, and she loved her family fiercely. Although she never had children, she loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own and she loved her pets as if they were her own flesh and blood. She was a mother to many animals throughout her life, including her beloved cat Toby, her dog Myah, and her chihuahua Addy.

Darby was an avid music lover. Her favorite band was Bon Jovi; she kept a collection of the band’s memorabilia including their records, posters, and magazines. She would do anything to get Bon Jovi tickets and attended many of their concerts as well as other artists. Darby also loved crystals. Not only was her apartment full of their healing energy, she also made jewelry with them. Darby was very sentimental, she always kept cards, newspapers and magazines. She also loved knickknacks, including stuffed bears, lighthouses, and dolls. Darby was very fashionable, she loved style and clothing.  She was curious and open by nature, always inquiring and wanting to learn and better understand the world around her.

Darby is survived by her brother, Joseph and his wife Zoraida, her niece Katya, and nephews Noah and Jeremy and several cousins, aunts, and uncles. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home at 467 Bay St, Taunton, MA from 4 to 6 pm.
