David A. Burgess

David A Burgess, age 69, passed away on Thursday June 29, 2023. Born on January 12, 1954 to the late Anthony and Agnes (Costa) Burgess.

David was raised and educated in Taunton. He worked at Rand McNally for many years and retired from there as a printing press operator. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and playing with his great-grandchildren. David was an avid marksman and instructor at the Taunton Rifle and Pistol Club, where he also sat on their executive board. David enjoyed teaching, helping others in need and sharing his great wisdom related to many topics. He was an excellent mentor and superb giver of advice, whom many admired and appreciated. David was also a member of the Taunton City Band and enjoyed golfing and bowling.

David is survived by his wife: Blanche C. Burgess of East Taunton, his stepson: Jason Camara and his partner Desiree Castro of Florida, his stepdaughter: Jeannine Camara-Jackson and her husband Bruce of East Taunton. He was the brother of Anthony Burgess and his wife Susan of Raynham, Marian Morgis and her husband Michael of Raynham, Amelia King and partner Peter Neufell of Hinesville, GA, Christine DePaula and her husband Lawrence of Taunton and Richard Burgess of Taunton. He also leaves behind granddaughter Jennah Windle and partner Andrew Gill, grandson Jared Windle and partner Angelina Resendes, great granddaughters Arielle and Selena Gill all of East Taunton, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. He will be deeply missed by all.

A visitation will be held at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton, MA on Friday July 7, 2023 from 4:00-7:00pm, with a Funeral Service being held in the Funeral Home at 6:30 pm. All friends and family are respectfully invited to attend.
