David "Turk" Peckham

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of David “Turk” Peckham on Thursday, June 10, 2021. He was 79 years old and known by everyone along the Newport waterfront. David served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic. He leaves a sister Merrill Peckham Costello of Jamestown and a loving brother Preston Peckham of Fitchburg, MA as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. David is predeceased by his father Alvin “Turk” Peckham, his mother Muriel Smith, his brother Alvin "Tucky" Peckham and his sister Kathi Peckham Clarke. He has chosen to be cremated and his ashes released at the same location as that of his mother and sister, Kathi. In lieu of flowers please donate to a needy group or individual. Rest in peace Dave.
