It is with overwhelming sadness, the family of Deborah A. Cote announce her sudden passing on Friday, July 9th, 2021, with her son by her side, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Debbie was born on April 18, 1958, to the late Francis W and Mary (Kalimeris) Koss in Taunton. After graduating early from Taunton High School, Deborah went on to spend over 20 years providing direct care to the disabled. Upon retiring, she combined her love of talking to people and helping them by later becoming a real estate broker.
Growing up with two brothers, Debbie was an avid sports fan and loved all Boston teams. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending hours in her kitchen cooking for neighbors, friends, and hosting parties to be close to her family and friends. Her primary goal at all times was help those she loved and to spend with them every moment she could. When she wasn’t with her family or friends, she spent time on her gardens caring for her flowers.
Deborah is survived by her loving son, Nicholas Cote of Taunton; her brother, Walter Koss and his wife Kim of Taunton; her sister, Kathryn Koss of Taunton; her aunt, Liberty Perdikis of Sandwich, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by Peter Cote, loving father to their son Nicholas, and her best friend of over 30 years, Shirley Morin of Taunton. Later in life, she was the partner of the late James Tosti, also of Taunton. Deborah will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held in the Riendeau Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton MA, on Thursday, July 15th, 2021, from 4:00PM – 7:00PM. A Graveside Service will be held on July 22nd at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
