Dennis Roy Emond, age 73 of Taunton, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday December 28th, 2023. He was the cherished husband of 50 years to Deborah (Weeman) Emond.
Dennis was born in Taunton, Ma on June 27th, 1950 to the late Mildred (Olson) and Oscar Emond. Dennis was a lifelong city resident and was raised and educated in Taunton. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army Reserves. Dennis retired from Rand McNally, where he worked for many years. Dennis was an avid New England sports fan. He enjoyed his summers in Cape Cod, especially Dennis Port and loved spending time at his second home in Vero Beach FL. One of Dennis’s greatest passions was spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports.
In addition to his wife Deborah, Dennis is survived by his three sons: Jason Emond of Taunton, Kyle Emond and his wife Rebecca of Taunton, and Nicholas Emond and his wife Amanda of Easton. Dennis was the brother of Kennith Emond and his wife Dolly and Harold Emond and his wife Gail. He was the proud grandfather of Camryn, Jack, Emma, Colby, CJ and Drew Emond. Dennis also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members. He was predeceased by his siblings, Normand Emond, Rita Arieta, Claire Goldrick, Lawrence Emond, David Emond, Vivian McCreadie and Donald Emond.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday January 2nd, 2024 from 4:00pm-7:00pm in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton Ma. A Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home on Wednesday January 3rd, 2024 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 475 East Britannia St. Taunton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
