Diane Dietzler, 72 years young of North Dighton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday February 18th, 2026. She was born and raised in Taunton MA and was a Taunton High School graduate in 1972. Diane departed with her husband George who served honorably in our military for 26 years and traveled the world as a military wife with their children from 1985-1992. They returned to Taunton in 1992 to lay roots and raise their children. Diane worked in the insurance industry for many years before retiring from One Beacon Insurance.
Diane’s unwavering love and devotion for her family was immeasurable. From her annual traditions of Christmas Craft Day, sending cards to all her nieces, nephews and grandchildren for every holiday to countless family gatherings just to be together. Her true passion was to enjoy every moment with the ones she loved.
Diane loved to spend her time camping, gardening, their cats Winifred and Binx, vacationing with their friends and looking for any reason to have a get together so she could cook enough to feed a small army, even if it was only a few people.
She loved fiercely and taught us that love is not just a word but a lifelong promise. Her unwavering love and fearless demeanor will impact us for generations to come. Diane throughout her life stepped in to help anyone in need, whether that was as a parental or grandparent role, being a shoulder to cry on or a voice of reason, the one constant was she was always there with unconditional love.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years George Dietzler along with their 2 daughters Heather Quagan (Matthew), Beth DaRosa (Jonathan) and her 3 granddaughters Julia Quagan, Nevaeh DaRosa and Adaleigh DaRosa who she loved and cherished beyond words. They affectionately called her “Mimi”. She is predeceased by her father William Collins and mother Florence Collins.
