Dianne L. (Pelletier) Bartel, age 81, of Taunton passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after a very long battle with cancer. Dianne was born in Taunton on December 10,1943, to the late Alma (Boivin) and Jean Pelletier. She was raised and educated in Taunton and other than a few years living in California, she was a lifelong city resident. She worked many years in managerial positions over her career and finished working at the BDC prior to her retirement. Dianne was a faithful Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton.
Dianne enjoyed crocheting and crafting as hobbies. She loved styling hair, which she attended school for in her late teens. She loved boating, long walks and was always ready for a party. She could always be found dancing to a good tune. But her greatest passion was spending time with her beloved family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all but will remain a memorable force in our lives.
She was the beloved mother of Christopher R. Bartel and his wife Christine of Taunton, Vicki L. Moitoza and her husband Paul of Taunton and the late Jeffrey R. Bartel. She was the sister of the late Pauline Desrosiers, sister of George Pelletier and wife Margaret of Falmouth, Louise Driscoll and Claire Urbanus, both of Taunton, also the late brothers and sisters Gerry Pelletier, Jeannette Anderson, Therese Laliberte, Raymond and Albert Pelletier. Dianne was the cherished grandmother of Michael Moitoza and his wife Valerie of Bridgewater. Great grandmother to their children Aiden, Michael Jr., Vera, and Mira. Cherished grandmother to Jessica Rodrigues and her husband Michael of Plymouth and great grandmother to their children Jeffrey, Charlotte and Amelia. She also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 9:00am-10:45am in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St., Taunton. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am in St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton St., Taunton. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 475 E Britannia St., Taunton.
