Donald F. Kerr

Donald F. X. Kerr 83, of East Bridgewater, died after a long battle with cancer on November 9, 2022.

He was born in Boston, on December 3, 1938, and was the oldest of two and the son of the late

Daniel J. and Mildred (Ahearn ) Kerr.

Don, graduated from St. Mary’s high school in Brookline MA and went on to North Eastern University.

After leaving NEU, he worked for Sky Chief at Logan Airport, AT&T, Bank of Boston, Newton Country Club, and the South Shore Pool Co. Don was very talented in building and repairing things. Don, is preceded by his first wife Judith Campbell, and his second wife Sheila Nalepa.

He leaves behind his brother Richard and his wife Alice of Franklin MA, as well as three daughter from his first marriage, Ann Marie Homer and her husband Larry of Bath, NH, Kathy Farrell and her husband David, of Stoughton, and Donna Schole and her husband John. of Norwood. From his second marriage he leaves behind Walter and his wife Cindy Nalepa, and Kaz and his wife Tammy Nalepa along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He also leaves behind Jennifer Petronio who was his support and companion, and cared for him in so many ways during his illness’s and final days.

Relatives and friends are invited to join together and celebrate Don’s Mass of Resurrection at The Holy Ghost Parish in Whitman at 10:30 on December 3, 2022. Burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Donald’s name to The Holy Ghost Parish in Whitman 518 Washington St. Whitman.
