Donna M. (Vachon) Spearin, age 78 of Raynham, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, after a long battle with dementia. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter D. Spearin.
Born in Boston on February 24, 1947, to the late Myrtle (Brom) and Fernand Vachon. Donna dedicated many years of her life as a dietary aide at New England Sinai Hospital, where her compassion and dedication made a lasting impression on colleagues and patients alike. Donna found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid fan of crossword puzzles and delighted in watching game shows, General Hospital and her cherished Hallmark channels. Her love for butterflies and cats reflected her appreciation for beauty and gentleness in the world.
Above all, Donna cherished her family. She especially treasured moments spent with her beloved granddaughter, Braylee, always looking forward to reading her favorite books together and creating lasting memories. Donna’s devotion to her family was evident in everything she did, and her warmth will be deeply missed by all.
Survived by her son; John T. Spearin and wife Elyse A. Spearin, predeceased by her daughter; Diane M. DeGirolamo, also survived by her daughter; Donna Sullivan, her brothers; Ronald Vachon and Paul Vachon. Her son-in-law; Robert DeGirolamo. Her adored granddaughter Braylee E. Spearin, along with several nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Donna was also the sister of the late Alan Vachon and Brian Vachon.
Donna’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and dedication to her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 4:00pm – 6:00pm in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton MA 02780. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home at 5:30PM. Burial at Blue Hill Cemetery will be held privately on a later date.
