Doris B. (Burton) Rapoza

Doris B. Rapoza, 73, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024 at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. She was born on January 10, 1951 in Hartland, Maine to the late Donald Ray Burton and late Betty Mae (Suitter) Jones. 

Doris was a long time resident of Taunton. She had many loved hobbies including arts and crafts, jewelry making, drawing and puzzles. Doris collected just about anything from odd nicknacks to her Native American dream catchers. She loved anything “spooky” as she received many awards for winning the local Halloween costume contests. She was a unique woman who made her presence known with her big personality, quirky outfits, new wigs and her big jewelry. But most of all, she loved her family and friends. She loved making new friends and enjoying a nice cup of coffee together. 

Doris was preceded in death by her youngest son Wilfred Rapoza; her brothers Donald Burton and Jack Coyle and her beloved sister Donna Jones. 

Doris is survived by her daughter Lisa (Rapoza) Williams of Barrington; son Kenneth Rapoza of Fall River; sister Colleen Coyle of Taunton; her grandchildren Allyson, Briana, Cheyenne, Kenneth Jr. his wife Tayla, and Natty; her great-grandchildren Jaymes, Devin, Chloe, Kennedy and Caroline; her niece Kim and nephew Lance his fiancé Jessica and their children Aurora and Odette along with many other relatives.

A private memorial service will be held for Doris at a later date and time for friends and family.
