Eleanor M. (Souza) Coderre

Eleanor (Souza) Coderre went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from Wedgemere Nursing Home in Taunton, she was 82.

She was the daughter of the late Tony and Eva Souza and lived in Taunton her entire life. Eleanor attended Taunton schools and held jobs at Whittenton Garment and Semline, retiring at the age of 70. She was known for her tract ministry, her love for people, and her sense of humor. She thoroughly enjoyed her last year of life at Wedgemere, surrounded by loving friends and staff.

Eleanor leaves behind her daughter, Donna, and her grandson, Gary. She adored both. She also leaves her sister Nancy Souza, sister-in- law, Terrie, nieces Bonnie and Judy, cousin Pat Boyle, and other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Joe and Tony.

We want to thank the entire Wedgemere Nursing staff, especially Doris, as well as the caring staff of Fidelis Hospice.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St., Taunton, MA from 9:00-11:00am, with a service being held in the Funeral Home at 11:00am, followed by a burial at Mayflower Hill Cemetery, 235 Broadway, Taunton, MA. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
