Evelyn T. (Furtado) Driscoll

Mrs. Evelyn T. Driscoll, age 81 of Taunton, passed away on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023.  She was born on September 18, 1941 to the late Esther (Griffith) and Joseph Furtado Jr.

Evelyn graduated from North Dighton High School. She was a lifelong resident of Taunton and enjoyed going to church and loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends.

Survived by her sons William “Billy” Driscoll and fiancé Barbara Bilka of Pennsylvania and Timothy Driscoll and wife Susan of Florida. Her daughter Karen (Driscoll) Perry and her husband Steven of Taunton, grandchildren Alexis Perry, Jessica (Driscoll) Perry, Paul Driscoll, Justin and Jennifer Hebert. Along with eleven great-grandchildren. Evelyn was also the mother of the late Catherine Gillette and sister to the late Elsie Rayner and James Furtado.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton from 5:00-8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday August 30, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Church, 126 School St. Taunton at 10:00am, followed by a burial at Pine Hill Cemetery, Stevens/Pinehill St. East Taunton. All family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
