Evelyn Medas Obituary

Evelyn (Cardin) Medas, beloved mother, cherished grandmother, and adored Gigi, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Monday, June 16, 2025, at the age of 85. She was the wife of the late Ronald Medas.

Born in Taunton, Evelyn was the daughter of the late George and Alice (Benoit) Cardin. She grew up on Middleboro Avenue in East Taunton and graduated from Taunton High School with the class of 1957. During her school years, she worked behind the lunch counter at Woolworth's Department Store and later in the office at Marvel Oil Company.

In 1958 she married Ronald Medas, and together they built a life and raised their family in Taunton before moving to Lakeville in the early 1980's. They were married for 64 years.

Evelyn will be remembered for her love of gardening, dancing, and her enthusiasm for true crime TV shows. She created countless joyful memories with her family and friends - whether at their South Dennis cottage, truck camping in Provincetown while hunting for sea glass, or attending concerts and shows. She especially looked forward to seeing Tom Jones at the Cape Cod Melody Tent, and enjoyed bus trips and outings with her loved ones. Evelyn also treasured time spent in Provincetown with her son and his friends, strolling through shops and dining out.

She is survived by her children: Michelle Bisio and husband Leo of Lakeville, and Timothy Medas of Dorchester; her grandchildren: Jared Bisio, Kristen Bisio, and Kristen's husband John Puffer; and her great-grandchildren: Marina, Vivian, Isabella and Theo. Evelyn was the sister of the late George Cardin and Lorraine Fruzzetti, and half-sister of the late Charles Cardin. She is also survived by her half-brother, Michael Cardin, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was fortunate to enjoy lifelong friendships, some spanning over 70 years. She was always the first to offer help, support, and kindness to those she loved.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.
