Fernando Carreiro, age 61 of Taunton, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 23, 1963 to Jose Carreiro and the late Constantina (Raposa) Carreiro.
Today we remember and celebrate the life of Fernando Carreiro—a quiet, kind, and giving man who was always there when someone needed help. He didn’t need to say much to show how deeply he cared. He led with actions, not words—offering support, love, and strength without asking for anything in return.
Fernando was a devoted husband to Maria, a loving father to Sareina and Xiomara, a loving stepfather to Roger, Catia and Jessica and a proud grandfather. He loved being outdoors, whether it was grilling, watching a soccer game with a beer, or simply enjoying fresh air no matter the weather.
Even when he was sick, he never stopped helping others. He avoided conflict, never held grudges, and was always someone people could rely on. His big smile and warm laugh could light up a room—and that’s what we’ll miss the most.
He leaves behind not just his immediate family, but a wide circle of loved ones—his father Jose, his siblings Cesar, Fatima, and Elvira, his nieces and nephews Tiffany, Ashley, Brian, Colin, Joshua and Ricky and his beloved grandchildren: Aaliyah, Giovanni, Julian, Tre, and Camila. All of them carry pieces of his legacy—his kindness, his humility, his light and many memories filled with quiet strength and deep love.
We love you, Fernando. We will miss you always.
