Frances L. (Driscoll) Adams

Frances L. (Driscoll) Adams, known lovingly as Fran, Aunt Frannie, Mom, Grandma, and GiGi, passed away on March 23, 2026, at her residence on School Street, one day after her seventy-ninth birthday. Born on March 22, 1947, in Taunton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Paul Driscoll and the late Helen Driscoll.

Frances shared thirty-five devoted years with her beloved husband, the late Donald L. Adams. Together they built a life rooted in family, love, and an unwavering commitment to one another. Their bond was the foundation upon which a large and closely knit family flourished.

Throughout her working years, Frances demonstrated a strong work ethic and a keen aptitude for precision. She was employed by Texas Instruments and the Foxborough Company, where she worked on the assembly and production of computer boards. Her dedication to her craft reflected the same careful attention she brought to every aspect of her life.

Yet it was in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that Frances truly shone. She was a proud grandmother of seven and an adoring GiGi to nine great-grandchildren. She was also a cherished aunt to twenty nieces and nephews, along with many great-great-nieces and nephews. Frances found her greatest joy in watching all of her grandchildren grow up, and she made it a point to participate in their school activities, events, and milestones. No recital was too small, no game too routine; she was there, present and cheering them on with her whole heart.

Frances possessed a remarkable gift for creating beautiful things with her hands. She was an accomplished seamstress who lovingly made her granddaughter's prom dress and wedding gown, pouring her devotion into every stitch. She was also a talented crocheter and skilled in a variety of crafts, filling the homes of her loved ones with handmade treasures. In addition, Frances was a wonderful singer and naturally musically talented, a gift that brought warmth and joy to those fortunate enough to hear her.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Morris (Coggeshall) and Angela Mederios; her sisters, Theresa and Gloria; her seven grandchildren; her nine great-grandchildren; and her many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Donald, she was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Helen Driscoll; her sister, Alice Slocomb; and her brothers, Richard Driscoll and Leo Driscoll.

Frances lived a life of quiet grace, generosity, and deep love. She gave freely of her time and her talents, asking for little in return except the happiness of those around her. May she now find everlasting peace and rest in the light of a love even greater than the boundless love she so freely gave to her family.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St., Taunton, from 4:00pm-7:00pm. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
