Francis Schuttauf

Loving husband of Ruth Dixon Schuttauf, son of Erich and Martha Rothganger Schuttauf, beloved father of Heidi Stipetic, Lance and Erich Schuttauf and Holly Roderick. Father-in-law to Scott Stipetic, Cynthia Tripp Schuttauf, Georgianna Albright Schuttauf and Harold (Butch) Roderick. Grandfather of Nikolaus Schuttauf, Ryan and Britton Stipetic, Alexandra, Madeline, Timothy and Maxwell Schuttauf. Brother to (the late) Billy Schuttauf, Herbert (Herbie) Schuttauf, Bertha-Anne (Bunny) Gray. Brother-in-law of Nancy Dixon, Joanne Schuttauf, (the late) Roberta and (the late) Roger King, Marjorie and Phillip Whitney, Jean Wilbur Schuttauf, Bernice Andrews, Richard Gray, Dorothy and Monty Musser, Carolyn and Rodney Kite, Janice and Mills Davis. Frank leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was the owner and operator of the Big S Service Station located on Ingell Street in Taunton for 40 years. Through the years, Frank had many beloved employees, Daniel Burke, Thelma and Janet Francis, the Silvia Brothers, Herbert (Herbie) Schuttauf, Jr., Ernie Botellio and many others. As the picture above indicates, The Big S Service Station was not only Franks job, but his love, as well as the numerous customers and businesses he served. Frank was a life-long member of The Winthrop Street Baptist Church in Taunton, where he served in many capacities, as well as The Gideons International. In addition to his church service, Frank was active in many community organizations such as Past, Master Mason of the King David Lodge of The Masonic Order, Past Patron of Rose Croix Chapter No. 79, Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter Father of The Taunton Rainbow Girls No. 13, and a member of Saint Mark Chapter of the Masonic Order, Rhode Island Charter 1865. Frank was a member of the Massasoit Forest No. 91, Tall Cedars Clown Unit playing the role of Panki, the Clown, participating in parades and Muscular Dystrophy events. Frank enjoyed sailing, watching NASCAR and racing stock cars as a young man. His sense of humor was infectious, always telling the latest joke he heard, while enjoying a hot cup of coffee. Frank was loved by many and will be sadly missed, yet his memory will live in our hearts forever. A Memorial Service is scheduled for June 14, 2008 at 10am at the Winthrop Street Baptist Church located at 39 Winthrop Street, Taunton, MA.
