Fred W. Benson

Fred W. Benson, 79, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 in Taunton.

Born in Taunton on December 29, 1943 to the late Harold and Lenora (King) Benson.

Fred was a US Marine and proudly served in Vietnam for over a year. He went to work in October of 1968 for General Motors Parts Division in Westwood, MA and worked there until his retirement in July of 2006.

Survived by his brother Robert Benson, his step-children Michele Aberasturia, Lisa Heberroth, Laura Levesque and Mike O’Neill, grandchildren and uncle to many. Fred was also the brother of the late Joyce Souza of Taunton, Cynthia McPhillips of RI, David Benson of East Providence, RI and Richard Benson of Taunton.

A Graveside Service will held at Cedar Knoll Cemetery 175 Staples. St., East Taunton, MA on Monday December 11, 2023 at 11:00am.  All family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
