Gregory F. Rico

Mr. Gregory Francis Rico, age 73, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024.

Gregory was born in Taunton, the son of Frank and Josephine (Silvia) Rico. He was the loving husband of Karen (Desalliers) Rico, for 49 years.

They raised their two sons in East Taunton, Greg (Stephanie) Rico and Jeff (Whitney) Rico. He was Papa to his four grandchildren, Paige, Parker, Paisley and Paxton and the brother of Diane Golemo, Gail Tardo, Sandra Flanagan and Daniel Rico.

Gregory held a variety of occupations throughout his lifetime. Including The DCR Division of State Parks, operating his Sunoco Service Station on Winthrop St., The Taunton DPW Sewer Dept., later running kitchens at local establishments in the city before opening Rico’s Grill on Rt. 138.

He enjoyed sitting on the Cape Cod Canal with his family, gardening in his green house, hunting, fishing, shell fishing, cooking, automobiles, CB radios, casting and painting cement statues among other hobbies.
