Hany Youssef Mechiel

Hany Youssef Mechiel, of Taunton, MA, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Brigham and Women's Hospital after a period of declining health.

Hany was born in Cairo, Egypt in May 1960, to the late Youssef and Sofia Mechiel. 

He was the beloved brother to Nadia of Toronto, Canada, the late Liala, the late Magda, and Emad Mechiel of Taunton, MA.

Hany graduated Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He worked for a brief period as an accountant. Hany immigrated to the US in 1988. Together with his brother Emad they owned and operated Super Pizza, Raynham, MA since March 1997.

Hany enjoyed a good cup of coffee, fishing, gardening, and most of all he enjoyed cooking and preparing orders for his customers and chatting with them.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton, MA 02780.  The Funeral will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025  at 12:00pm at St. Mary Spiritual Vineyard, 74 Gould Rd, Charlton, MA, followed by burial at St. Mary Spiritual Vineyard Cemetery, 74 Gould Rd, Charlton, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
