Helen F. (Andrade) Laranjo

Helen F. (Andrade) Laranjo, a lifelong resident of Taunton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. She was 81 years old.

Born in Taunton on March 6, 1945, Helen was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph Andrade and Alice (Goulart) Andrade. She spent her entire life in Taunton and was a proud graduate of Taunton High School, Class of 1963.

Helen dedicated many years of her career working as a dietary aide at Paul Dever State School, where she was known for her kindness, strong work ethic, and warm spirit toward those she served.

Helen was a faithful member of Annunciation of the Lord Parish. In her free time, she enjoyed many simple pleasures in life, including reading, visiting the senior center, and spending time with friends. She especially enjoyed going out to dinner and trips to the casino. Among her closest companions were her dear friends Barbara and Franny, with whom she shared many joyful moments and lasting memories.

She was the loving wife of the late Manuel Laranjo. Helen was a devoted mother to her son, Michael D. Laranjo, and daughter, Nancy A. Cardoza Laranjo. 

Helen will be remembered for her warm smile, gentle nature, and the friendships she cherished throughout her life. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 9:00am to 10:30am in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am in the Annunciation of the Lord Parish, 31 1st. Street, Taunton MA 02780. Helen will be laid to rest with her late husband Manuel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 475 East Britannia St., Taunton MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
