Henrietta V. (Whalon) McGuire

Henrietta V. (Whalon) McGuire, age 90, passed away on Friday February 9, 2024 at Morton Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel McGuire and daughter of the late Erwin and Henrietta Whalon.

Born and educated in Taunton, she was a graduate of the Taunton Vocation Nursing Program. Prior to her retirement she was employed as an LPN at Morton Hospital for 30 years, she was known to many as “Sis”. Henrietta loved sharing time with her shitzu “Emma”. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, with all the lights and decorations and she enjoyed a trip to Foxwoods here and there. She was a proud grandmother who thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren, who called her “Ning”, she will be dearly missed.

Henrietta is survived by her sons, Dale and wife Dawn McGuire, Daniel McGuire and Shawn Dickenson, daughters, Angela Fogle and Stephanie Dickenson, her beloved grandchildren Damon McGuire, Molly McGuire, Mason McGuire, Adam Fogle, Owen Fogle and Ethan Riley. A sister Carol Frates and late husband Joe. She was also the mother of the late Derrick Dickenson and sister to the late Janet and Per’ Gnass and the late Erwin Whalon.

Visitation will be held on Thursday February 15, 2024 at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton, MA from 4:00-7:00pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 16, 2024 in the Funeral Home at 11:00am. The burial will be private.
