Irene E. Mocker-Boivin

Irene E. Mocker-Boivin (Hooben), Age 84, passed away at her home in Yarmouth MA on Tuesday, September 20th 2022. She was the beloved wife of 31 years to the late Roger Boivin, and for 6 years to the late Robert Mocker.  Irene was Born in Taunton on July 17th 1938 to the late Martin Augustine Hooben and Antoinette Marie Deschene. 

Irene worked for many years at Reed and Barton, Morse Shoe and Trucchis as a keypunch operator, file clerk and account manager.

Irene enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod and loved having lunch on the beach. She also enjoyed crafting, crochet, cake decorating, reupholstering furniture and attending church functions. Irene loved vacations in Hawaii but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Irene is survived by her three sons; Robert E. Mocker Jr. and wife Susan of Coventry, RI, Kevin M. Mocker and wife Jayne of Attleboro, and Leslie Mocker and wife Doris of Middleboro. 

She was the sister of Leo, Marie (Bonome), Richard, Norman and Paul Hooben. Irene leaves behind her four grandchildren; Leanne Furness and husband Jared of Fairhaven, Kyle Mocker of Taunton, Jake Mocker of South Korea and Mary Mocker of Coventry, RI, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visiting hours will be held in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton Ma on Monday September 26th from 4:00pm-7:00pm relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton Street, Taunton Ma on Tuesday September 27th at 10:00am.
