Jacqueline M. (Fluette) Carreaux

Jacqueline M. (Fluette) Carreaux, formerly of Taunton, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026.

Born in Woonsocket, RI, Jacqueline was the daughter of the late Alfred Fluette and Rose (Pichette) Fluette. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond W. Carreaux, with whom she shared 58 wonderful years of marriage.

Jacqueline devoted much of her life to caring for others. As a licensed practical nurse, she worked at Paul Dever State School, Hospice Care and Marian Manor Nursing Home in Taunton for 14 years, where her compassion and dedication touched the lives of many residents and their families. She was also a foster parent for many infants and toddlers in her younger years.

After moving to New Hampshire, she served on the advisory board for Mount Moosilauke Health Center and was a co-op owner of a craft shop selling homemade goods, including her fudge clothing and paintings. She was a nature lover, especially for birds, and volunteered for local and state bird counts and at Quincy Bog Nature Preserve, in Rumney, New Hampshire. Other volunteering included Meals on Wheels, Meals for Many, and organist at St. Matthew's Church. She was also a former member of St. Jacque's Church in Taunton, MA.

She enjoyed quilting, needle point, knitting, crocheting, painting, and spinning wools and angora from their farm raised animals on their New Hampshire farm. She also loved spending time outdoors hiking, snow shoeing, camping, and canoeing with family and friends.

Above all, Jaqueline treasured her family and the many years she shared with her husband, Raymond. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, whose memory will be lovingly carried on by those who knew and loved her.

Jacqueline is survived by her son, Norman Carreaux and his wife Betty, her daughter, Jeanne Carreaux and her husband David, five grandchildren, David, Matthew, Michael, Melissa, and Christopher, five great grandchildren, Rylee, Austin, Aurora, Paxon, and Dallas, and several nieces.

She was the sister of Constance Amaral of North Smith Field, RI, Jeannine Fluette of Taunton, MA, Helen Fluette of Piermont, NH, and is survived by her sister Denise Schandel (James), of Sandy, Utah.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 24th, 2026, at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 475 E. Britannia St., Taunton, MA 02780.
