Janet L. (Souza) Almeida

Janet L. (Souza) Almeida, 65, of Middleboro, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Morton Hospital. She is survived by her husband David Almeida; step-daughter Rebecca Almeida; granddaughter Isabelle Kingsley, and her beloved dog, Brie. Janet was a graduate of Taunton High School and worked for many years at Morton Hospital in the Medical Records Department and Hines Dermatology in Raynham. She will be remembered for her sly smile and quiet laugh, and her love of iced coffee. Born in East Taunton on January 30, 1957, Janet was the youngest of 10 siblings.

Janet leaves behind her sister; Ruth A. (Souza) Letourneau of East Taunton; three brothers; James R. Souza of South Dennis, Michael A. Souza of Berkley and Edward K. Souza of Maine; along with dozens of loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Harriet M. (Ashley) and Gilbert A. Souza; five of her siblings; brothers Gilbert A., Jon D. and Joel C.; and sisters; Patricia M. Harnish and Mary E. Tidd.

A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at a later date.
