Jean (Magnussen) Drew

Jean Drew (Magnussen), born on October 3, 1936, in Randolph, Massachusetts, passed away on April 11, 2025, in Wareham, Massachusetts.

Across nearly nine decades of life, Jean stood as a quiet witness to the changing tides of time. Rooted deeply in the soil of her native Massachusetts, she carried with her a sense of place and continuity that resonated with those who knew her.

Jean was a devoted parent to eleven children: Cynthia, Nancy, Diana, Brad Jr., Glenn, Richard, and Teddy. She also held close in memory four beloved children who predeceased her—Ann Marie, Rita, Timothy, and Douglas—their presence forever etched into the fabric of her life. Jean leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren who brought her immense pride and happiness throughout the years.

In moments of stillness and simplicity, Jean found joy. She had a fondness for classic television programs like *Unsolved Mysteries* and *Little House on the Prairie*, drawn perhaps to her blend of mystery and heartfelt narrative. With a quiet reverence for tradition, she would page through old Norwegian cookbooks—each recipe a portal to heritage and shared family moments.

Though her voice is now silent, Jean’s memory lingers gently in the hearts of those who shared in her journey. May it bring comfort and peace as enduring as the love she gave.

A Celebration of Jean's Life will be held on Saturday, May 17th, 2025  from 12:00pm - 4:00pm at the Mitchell Memorial Club, 29 Elm St. Middleboro, MA.
