It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mrs. Jeannette (LeBlanc) Gaffney announce her passing. Jeannette passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 14th, 2021. She was a loving and devoted wife of 50 years to Richard J. Gaffney. Jeannette was born in Central Falls, RI on November 28th, 1926 to the late Emma (Senechal) and Andrew LeBlanc. Having been a lifelong city resident, Jeannette attended the former St. Jacques school and graduated from Taunton High. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Ann’s Church in Raynham.
Jeannette enjoyed spending time at home. She loved nothing more than being able to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Richard, she will forever be remembered by her three children: Jayne Fortin and her husband Philip, of Berkley; Wayne Martyniak and his wife Kathleen, of Raynham; and Scott Martyniak and his wife Kathleen, of Foxboro. She was the cherished sister of Donald LeBlanc of Taunton and the late Normand and Robert LeBlanc. She was also the proud grandmother of Neal, Carley, Brooke and the late Jody Martyniak ; and great-grandmother of Quinn and Scarlett.
A private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Church in Raynham for family and close friends. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
