Jeannette Alicia Myette left this earthly realm on July 26, 2023, after surviving a battle with non- hodgkins lymphoma and the prolonged aftereffects of her medical treatments. She was 79 years old.
Born in Providence, RI, she was a daughter of the late John and Grace Elizabeth (Scott) Lawson. For her career, Jeannette was a retired medical billing specialist after raising three daughters to adulthood.
Although her body is being laid to rest, it would be wrong to say that Jeannette lost her battle, because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, she stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Jeannette. Just because she is no longer here, doesn’t mean she lost her fight. She will always be an inspiration to those who have a passion for life.
Jeannette was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Myette of Saunderstown. She is survived by three children: Zina E. Poulin of Hollis, NH, Heather I. Rose of Douglas, MA, and Kyla J. Almeida of Mansfield, MA; her sister Linda Horn of Cranston, RI; and six grandchildren.
A private Memorial Service is planned for Thursday August 10, 2023 at the RI Veterans Cemetery for immediate family members.
