Seekonk - Jeffrey Michael Hastings passed awayon Monday, May 4th, 2020 at home.
Jeff was the loving husband of Kristine (Giacobone) Hastings. He was born in Fall River, MA on August 18th, 1953 tothe late Paul and Florence (Guerette) Hastings.
In addition to his wife, Jeff leaves behind his children: Meghan Hastings, Jeffrey Hastings, Christopher Hastings, Anna (Hastings) Radchenko and her husband,Ilya Radchenko. He also leaves behind his brothers and their wives: Kevin and Sandy Hastings, Mike and Gisele Hastings, Tom and Pam Hastings, Brian (deceased) and Mary Hastings. His in-laws John Thompson, Steve and Karen Labbe, and Christopher and Suzy Giacobone. Jeff was the cherished grandfather of Charlotte Valle, Nathaniel Valle, Landon Martin, Alaena Martin, Isaiah Radchenko, and Judah Radchenko. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jeff was a giving man and loved cooking for others. Many people enjoyed his food and he did it out of love. He also helped his wife with gardening, which she took great joy in. Jeff loved to watch sports and reading the newspaper. He liked being outdoors and enjoyed sailing and annual trips to Mexico. Jeff worked in the Metal Finishing Industry for Gilbert Jones, Inc. for much of his career. He loved helping his customers try and solve their metal finishing problems. He greatly missed this part of his life after his illness. Words cannot express how much that Jeff will be missed and he will be remembered forever.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 25 at 10:00 AM at Ocean State Baptist Church, 600 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, RI. A Celebration of Jeffreys Life will follow, location to be announced at the memorial service.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
