Joanne F. (King) Girard

Joanne F. Girard, a lifelong resident of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Taunton on June 17, 1941, the daughter of the late Raymond King and Mary (Holmes) King.

Joanne dedicated many years of her life to working in retail management, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kind nature. Outside of her career, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life—traveling to Newhampshire and Florida, playing bingo, solving puzzles, completing word search books, and most importantly, spending cherished time with her family.

Joanne was a devoted mother to her children: Michele Green and her husband Stephen, Pamela Capaldi, Debbie LeClair, Earl Daley, and Donna DaRosa and her husband Paul. She was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and also leaves behind several great-grandchildren.

Joanne was predeceased by her parents and her siblings, including the late Martha King and David King. She is also survived by her siblings Marilyn Thrope and Ralph King and his wife Donna, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.

Joanne will be remembered for her warm smile, her caring heart, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her greatest legacy is the family she cherished and the memories they will hold close forever.

Burial will be private.
