John A. Leason

John A. Leason, age 61 of Taunton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 3rd, 2023.

Born on January 11, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri, John was adopted by Arthur and Jane (Ewing) Leason. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Poitras) Leason of 26 years and had a long and fruitful career as a mechanical engineer.

John was always the first to volunteer to go out of his way to do whatever possible to assist family or friends in need. He loved nothing more than cooking and woodworking, and would jump at the opportunity to spend a day doing either. He also relished the opportunity to entertain at his home, and could always be counted on to tell stories for hours, particularly about some of his favorite topics like classic cars, trains, and planes.

John is survived by his loving wife Linda, his children Ryan and Sam of Taunton, MA, his mother Jane and brother David of Broad Brook, CT, as well as countless other extended family and friends who held a special place in his heart.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, MA from 4:00 - 7:00pm. All family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
